Carole Vymazal

Carole Vymazal is completing her legal traineeship following several years as Presiding Judge of a large Child and Adult Protection Court. She has built undeniable expertise in child protection and separation cases throughout her career, including holding a key position at a national child protection association.
As a member of the Young Valais Bar Association, she regularly represents clients before courts and protection authorities.
Her background
In 2016, Me Vymazal worked with minor asylum seekers at Geneva's Païdos association and conducted research on children's rights awareness at NGO "Enfants du Monde". She later taught French to migrants at Martigny's Bureau de l'Intégration.
From 2018-2020, she served as legal clerk at the Child and Adult Protection Authority (APEA) of Sierre, managing cases and coordinating with various networks. She then became APEA president until 2023, leading a 15-person team and overseeing the merger of three regional APEAs while participating in multiple commissions.
In 2023, she joined Kinderschutz Schweiz Foundation as a scientific collaborator, focusing on children's rights policy and research.
Me Vymazal holds a Bachelor's in Law from the University of Fribourg (2015), a Master's in Children's Rights from the University of Geneva (2018), and completed a Master of Law in 2024. During her studies, she participated in an Erasmus semester at FH Potsdam and attended the CBL International Summer Institute at Oxford and Cambridge.
She has pursued extensive continuing education in leadership, children's rights, and HR management. Currently, she is completing her legal internship in Valais under Damien Hottelier's supervision.
